Electric Car Charger Installation
We install electric vehicle chargers for homes and businesses. Whether you need a Level 2 charger for overnight charging or a faster setup, we handle the full installation from start to finish. Our team works with all major EV charger brands and ensures everything is wired correctly and up to code.
The installation process starts with assessing your electrical panel capacity. We check if you have enough amperage available and determine the best location for the charger. We’ll run the proper wiring, install the mounting hardware, and connect everything safely. We also handle any necessary permits and inspections, so you don’t have to worry about the paperwork.
Many homeowners are surprised by how straightforward the process can be. If your panel has the capacity, we can often complete the installation in a single day. For older homes or panels that need upgrades, we’ll walk you through your options and get everything set up properly.
Technical Specifications
Our EV charger installations comply with NEC Article 625 requirements, including proper circuit protection, GFCI protection for Level 2 chargers, and appropriate wire sizing based on the charger’s amperage rating. We typically install 240V circuits ranging from 30A to 50A depending on the charger model, using appropriate AWG copper conductors (typically 10 AWG for 30A circuits, 8 AWG for 40A, and 6 AWG for 50A circuits). We ensure proper grounding, install dedicated circuits with appropriate breakers, and maintain proper clearances per code requirements. For hardwired installations, we use weatherproof enclosures rated for outdoor use, and for plug-in models, we install NEMA 14-50 or 6-50 outlets as specified by the charger manufacturer.
