Electrical Fixture Installation
We install all types of electrical fixtures—lighting, ceiling fans, chandeliers, recessed lights, and more. Whether you’re updating a single room or doing a full home renovation, we handle fixture installation the right way. No shortcuts, no mess left behind.
Proper fixture installation matters for safety and performance. We make sure everything is wired correctly, mounted securely, and grounded properly. We’ll match the right fixture to your electrical setup and ensure it’s compatible with your switches and dimmers. If you need new wiring run or switches updated, we take care of that too.
Many homeowners try to install fixtures themselves and run into problems. Maybe the wiring is older and needs updating, or the box isn’t rated for the fixture weight, or the dimmer isn’t compatible. We’ve seen it all and know how to fix it right the first time.
Technical Specifications
Our fixture installations follow NEC Article 410 requirements, ensuring proper box ratings for fixture weight (standard boxes rated for 50 lbs, heavy-duty boxes for fixtures exceeding that weight), correct wire connections using UL-listed wire nuts or approved connectors, proper grounding of all metal fixtures, and appropriate circuit protection. We verify box depth and volume requirements, ensure proper clearance from combustible materials, and use appropriate mounting hardware. For recessed lighting, we ensure proper IC (Insulation Contact) or non-IC ratings are matched to the installation location, maintain proper clearances from insulation, and use appropriate junction boxes. We also verify circuit loading to ensure fixtures don’t exceed 80% of circuit capacity per NEC guidelines.
